Generally cloud confined to summits above 1000m by late morning, and often clearing western summits. but in rain, the cloud will lower toward or occasionally below 600m.

Planning Outlook for all mountain areas from Monday, 20th May, 2013

Warm with continued rapid melting of remaining snow at higher levels on Monday and for a while on Tuesday with some sunshine but still a risk of thundery showers. Turning cooler, cloudier and more showery midweek particularly across eastern ranges with northerly winds strengthening. A divergence of views towards next weekend with high pressure weakening as low pressure over France threatens to bring showers and local thunder northwards.
